About FAMILY SMITH TREE

At this stage (March 2007) it would appear that the Sivyer family lived in Rogate, Sussex, England between ther 1700's and mid-1800's before moving up to the fringes of South West London and Surrey. The spelling of the name Sivyer differed over the years from Siviyear, Sivier, Sivyear and other earlier variations such as saviour. Other Sivyer families lived close to Rogate, in the village of Trotton, but at this stage there appears to be no connection, although this may have occurred earlier than the mid-1700's.
